Assisi

The end of 2015 was a big life changer for me. I lost my house due to a relationship break-up and I moved in with my parents. My little boy turned one years old and started to walk. One relationship ended and another began. I graduated from university and went back to my job from maternity leave. I then got myself a second job. And a voluntary job writing columns. I began to travel to different places around the UK and do various things I never thought that I would do. I began a bucket list. I passed numerous dance exams and I began Brazilian jiu jitsu and joined the gym for the first time in my life. It was quite the year. I decided that I wanted to inspire people to be strong. To keep going. Then before I knew it, one year had passed.

That's when I started to take notice of myself.  For the first time in my life I had my nails done by a professional. And my eyebrows saved from disaster. I realised that I couldn't carry on looking homeless. It was time to make an effort. And that's when, for the first time in my life I walked into Assisi.

A great part of 2016 was finding a hairdresser on the same level as me. Someone that wanted to give me beautiful hair. Someone who cares about colour, but also about the condition of my hair. I had found them.

I now live by the motto that the better you feel, the better you look. It's worth spending earnings on beautiful hair, because every day is worth a smile and a flick of the locks when you are proud of the way you look.

My problem is that I like change. Such as going from blue and purple, to dark blue and light blue, to blue and green. And then I look back at my pictures and miss my previous colour because they are all done so brilliantly! I have so many plans for the future, and the future looks so bright. So I hope that Assisi don't mind my crazy plans!

I don't want to be the same as everybody else. I want to have coloured hair. Because when I am too old I will never look back and wish I'd acted on my dreams. 

So I want to say a big thank you to Assisi in Cleethorpes, especially Ben, for absolutely wowing me with all of your skills, for having patience with me when I keep changing colours and for going that extra mile with your customers.

I highly recommend them. ❤️

Game on

It is a true fact, there is no full stop to gaming. There truly is no end. Whether it is a game in the playground or a game on the Playstation 3, we were playing games far before we advanced to such technology. So now that we have established that games will never come to an end, and only advance very swiftly, how far do we go before we go to far? Is it when our character becomes a cannibal and all we can place our hands into the screen to pull up the body of our victim and begin to eat them by pulling them into our mouths in a virtual reality? Or is it when games become reality, when they place you into a room and lock the door and leave you so that you are willing to participate in a number of challenges just to get out, to finish the task you have been given. Or are both acceptable? As humans we have a need to feel satisfaction, we need to complete a game, and more realistic, the better. Summer words

Ten miles until I reach my destination. Clouds high in the sky, sun under a sky that I will never really see. A metallic shine on the bonnet of the car, casts me into an eternity That I also never thought, That I would know. Ten more miles, the radio, so quietly playing. Silence pleases me. My pups still laying, so joyfully upon my lap. Breathing in the summer smells... And sensing the blueness of the sky, black and white, In the pupil of their eye. No cars but mine, to pollute the environment, Wanting to walk, But wishing to fly. Like a swift. In the beauty of the sky.
