When she opened her eyes it was like staring into a bubble. Everything around her was distorted. Colours everywhere, like tiny flakes of crystal cluttering her space. She reached out. A Week in Paradise

It was June 5th 2012 that I landed in my holiday destination of Turkey. And it would only be a week until I would return home. From the moment that I arrived I was greeted by smiling faces and bliss by my hotel, near the busy place of Fethiye. On my first day I din't realise that by the end of the week I would be heartbroken to leave such a beautiful country. We arrived in Turkey at approximately 6:00PM (Turkish time) they were two hours ahead of us. The accommodation was not what we expected as we had requested a balcony view, but a simple word with reception and we were moved into a room with very beautiful scenery complete with a balcony to relax on during the night and early hours. I didn't realise that there were still good people in the world, I didn't know that I could smile at somebody and receive a smile back, unlike my hometown where a smile is usually exchanged for some verbal abuse. The Education Road

OK, so today was one of those days where them spelling mistakes were getting on top of me. I've been studying journalism and media for nearly four years; I have always known what I wanted but when the spelling mistakes are crawling out of my writing pieces in every direction it puts me down, I feel like maybe I will never pick it up... One thing I intend to live by for the rest of my life is a bit of a fact that my tutor pointed out; 'if you put your mind to something, you can do it.' it's quite simple really, it is true. It is the most obvious thing to me, now that somebody has pointed it out. So now when I am feeling down about my work, I put my mind to it. So media, when did I decide that it was for me?
